100 East Walton

A Tuesday in the city means broker opens. Once a week, realtors hit the streets to see what’s new on the market. Today, I decided to check out a collaborative open house at 100 East Walton.

Built in 1972, this building soars 44 stories into the sky, offering phenomenal Gold Coast views. From the lower units, you can see people lunching at Fig & Olive, and from higher up, you can see the very blue lake.

I toured seven units, but I think my favorite was 24B. I loved the built-ins and oak floors. And when I walked in, the realtor was playing Michael Bublé, which made me like the one-bedroom condo even more.

Afterwards, I took myself on a lunch date to Pierrot Gourmet at The Peninsula. It was a treat to slow down, people-watch and enjoy a cup of French onion soup before heading back to my office.
