The Glittered Pumpkins

My love language is gift-giving, whether I’m shopping for the perfect closing present or writing a heartfelt card for a friend’s birthday. I really like to delight my clients, so for my fall pop-by, I decided on DIY glittered pumpkins.

This past Sunday at my parents’ house, my aunt and I spent the afternoon painting Mod Podge onto baby orange pumpkins and coating each one with glitter. My dad lit a fire (he also set off the smoke detector in the process), my mom made tea (then switched to wine) and my best friend came over to see the finished product. It was a beautiful, joy-filled mess — glitter is notorious for sneaking its way into every nook and cranny.

After the pumpkins dried, we placed them in treat bags, dolling up the packaging with ribbon and tulle. These gifts are adorable, and I can’t wait to drop them off. To my clients: Happy fall! I hope you like glitter as much as I do.
