Thanksgiving 2015

I’ve never been big on Thanksgiving. For me, it’s just an obstacle to Christmas — one more holiday to get out of the way before glorious December begins. But this year, I really needed the break, and four low-key days with friends and family was truly a treat.

From playing “Heads Up!” with my cousins after Thanksgiving dinner to driving downstate for a college friend’s wedding, I had a ball. I am immensely grateful for the people in my life — thanks be to God for a restful and festive weekend in Hinsdale.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. — James 1:17
