I’ve been friends with Jonathan for a few years now. In that time, I’ve never known him to be incredibly impulsive, but when it came to a particular Logan Square condo, I saw a different side of him.
“Mel,” he texted me one summer afternoon. “Look at this. [Redfin link]. How do I buy it?”
Hours later, Jonathan was pre-approved and ready to check the place out. It was a totally renovated 2-bedroom condo in Logan Square, and the owners had updated it flawlessly: penny tile, RH-everything, subway showers, and the coolest light fixtures money can buy. All in all, the home was stunning. Jonathan wanted it.
As it happens, other buyers also loved this condo. We soon found ourselves in a multiple offer situation. Jonathan gave me his top number, and we crossed our fingers. I got the call from the agent the next day that Jonathan had won, and it was his. (The best feeling in the world!)
Jonathan closed on his condo last July, and since then, he’s spent as much time there as possible. When he’s off flying around the globe, he rents it out through Airbnb. If you’re ever looking for a place to stay in Chicago’s vibrant Logan Square neighborhood, contact me — I know a guy.
