Alaina

Alaina and I went to high school together. I hadn’t seen her since senior year, so when she walked into my WeWork office on a blustery spring day, I greeted her with a hug. We caught up on the basics — where we’re living, where she works, who we still talk to from Hinsdale Central — and then got to work.

After a few years of renting in the Gold Coast, Alaina was ready to buy her first condo. She was peculiarly interested in the West Loop and surrounding area. We created a timeline for her and got to searching.

The West Loop is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Chicago. Here, homes sell fast, and in the spring, it’s even more competitive. Alaina kept at it, fighting her way through multiple offer situations with grit and class. She eventually found a gorgeous timber loft with two bedrooms, glow-y city views, and plenty of exposed brick. Alaina made a very strong offer, and just a month later, it was all hers.

I loved representing Alaina. There is something special about working with people I grew up with. Alaina and I have a lot of mutual friends, but we never really got to know each other until she became my client. Since her closing, Alaina has showed up to MSC events (at Ezza and at Fit Body!) and been a cheerleader for my business. I appreciate that more than words can say.

She recently shared a few post-closing photos with me. See below for a peek inside her home. (Also, I’m obsessed with her chic city style!)
