Scroll to learn more about the ladies of Melanie Everett & Company. I'm so thankful for them. Real estate is a crazy business, but working with this team makes it a total blast.
Courtney Funkhouser has loved real estate since before she can remember. She grew up going to open houses every Sunday with her mom. In college, she became the go-to apartment-hunter amongst her friends, scouring websites and forums for the best places. Today, finding homes is her career. She loves helping people find their safe haven. It’s not her job to “sell” a client on a home, but to partner with that client to find the one.
As a former CPA, Courtney naturally loves numbers. Studying the market is her other favorite part of this job. She believes there is a fair price for everything, and she fights to get that for her clients on either side of the deal.
Courtney currently lives in Logan Square with her husband, Dan, her son, Finn, and her Frenchie, Rhone. She adores her neighborhood. You can find her walking Rhone in Palmer Square Park, working out at boot camp, or drinking iced coffee at Sip of Hope.

After our first consultation, we knew we were working with one of the best. Courtney listened to what we were looking for and held fast to our budget and expectations throughout the process. Courtney was responsive and quick to answer any of our questions. We were first-time home buyers and it was extremely helpful that she took the time to explain the process to us. Courtney was such a hard worker... She was unwavering, brilliant and a rock star from start to finish throughout the home buying process.

Candace is a true homebody. Her favorite part of being a broker is being able to guide clients through the buying or selling process and experience what home means for them. In fact, this personal connection is what inspired her to begin a career in real estate.
Aside from the relationships built through her work in real estate, she’s also grateful to leverage her marketing background to assist clients. From writing listing descriptions that make a property come to life, to enticing potential buyers through the vast reach of social media, she loves crafting unique engagement strategies.
Her free time is typically spent soaking in the beautiful views on the Lakefront Trail when the weather is nice, touring the many breweries Chicago has to offer with her fiancé Jimmy, and cuddling with her French Bulldog, Juniper.

Maggie Witmer, a second generation realtor, has long been fascinated by the world of real estate. She grew up watching her dad serve his clients, and over the years, she learned the nuts and bolts of the industry. Following in his footsteps, Maggie has developed her own style of matching clients with their perfect home — a home that she hopes will make their everyday life feel better than a vacation.
While Maggie’s path didn’t take her directly into real estate, she honed her professional skills within the complex world of insurance. There she spent countless hours hammering out details to ensure nothing was overlooked. Insurance is where she learned that while price is important, building lasting relationships predicated on security are key to long-term success.
You can find Maggie running countless miles on the Lakefront Trail with her husband, Brad, walking her ever-playful Golden Retriever pup around her Lakeview neighborhood, or expanding her search for the best coffee shop in the city.

Second Generation Realtor
I was able to work with Maggie from Melanie Everett & Co. and she was fantastic. She was flexible and available when needed for my many questions about what needs to be done. She helped give me advice for preparing my property to sell and provided quality market data to help me determine listing price. I also felt like my recommendations were heard and she was working with me, which was encouraging. We listed and had an open house within a week with three offers on the table. It was a pleasant experience and I absolutely recommend Maggie and M&Co. for your real estate needs!

Her love for exploring new neighborhoods, interior design, and all things Chicago led her to a career in real estate almost 5 years ago. She’s known for her friendly customer service, attention to detail, and willingness to guide her clients from start to finish.

Beatriz has been our agent for the past four years, since arriving in Chicago. We worked with her on multiple deals that included the purchase of our home. Bea goes above and beyond for her clients and makes a stressful process fun and enjoyable! She always listened and understood what was important to us in a home during our search. No matter the circumstances, she was always on our side and had our best interest at heart. Her professionalism and empathy really showed throughout our time working together. Patience is one of her great virtues, which we put to the test more than once.
