I met Joe and Jen through Mike and Cat.
Over a year ago, Cat and Jen attended one of my seminars together. They are co-teachers in the same classroom, and they’re also friends, so it made all the sense in the world that they would buy homes down the block from one another. (To refresh your memory, Mike and Cat purchased a condo in Lincoln Park last fall.)
Shortly after Mike and Cat’s closing, I sat down with Joe and Jen to begin the search process. The two were recently engaged and ready to plan their life together, from their wedding to their home. It was a treat to be a part of such a memorable life experience.
We saw a handful of homes before returning to one that Joe and Jen had noticed before. Occasionally, buyers find “the one” early on, but they need to see other things in order to realize how special that condo truly is. That’s what happened with Joe and Jen. We made an offer, began negotiating, and soon, they were under contract.
Their bright, vintage (but rehabbed!) Lincoln Park home is one of my favorite sales to date: bay windows, gorgeous light fixtures, a white kitchen, built-ins galore and so many thoughtful details. And further, it’s on the same street as Mike and Cat’s condo. Jen texted me photos a few weeks ago to show me what they’ve done to the space.
Next weekend, they’ll be married. I am so honored to have played a small role in Joe and Jen’s next chapter.
