Kara

Kara sent me her wishlist Google doc last spring, and I remember immediately posting it on my Instagram story. The girl knew what she wanted, from cement construction to a gorgeous cooking space (with a garbage disposal!). I was so impressed. With that, our search began.

It was especially fun working with Kara because she’s dating my cousin, Jordan. The two were planning to move in together, so this condo would house both of them. Jordan and Kara spent many of their weekends at open houses, measuring and envisioning and planning.

In early summer, Kara texted me about a particular place on the edge of Lakeview. It seemed to have everything she was looking for: top-floor, enough space for her sectional, an open floor plan. What’s more, Whole Foods (the new, amazing, shiny one on Ashland) is steps away. The kitchen was totally done, but there were elements that Kara knew they could edit, like the floors and guest bath. Soon, Kara was under contract.

She went under contract, and a month or so later, Kara closed. Jordan and I went with, of course, and Kara sweetly and unexpectedly gave us gifts: a bouquet of flowers for me and a “Demo Day” shirt for Jordan. (Fixer Upper, anyone?)

Congratulations, Kara. The place looks stunning. (Scroll down for a few photos from Kara!)
