I first met with Lee and Eileen in October 2019 to discuss their home search and timeline. They were looking for a condo in the up-and-coming California Corridor to continue to grow their family in. We hit the ground running in February 2020 with their tour day and surprisingly found a winner that first day out. Unfortunately, a different offer won but a very similar unit right across the street (and in better shape) came onto the market less than two weeks later.
We quickly got in for a showing and drafted our offer. In true spring market fashion, it was another multiple offer situation. Lee and Eileen submitted a letter to seller with their initial offer and when it came time for “highest & best” offers, they submitted another heartfelt letter to the seller. That tug on the heartstrings, along with some multiple offer strategies, worked in their favor. They quickly went under contract!
They closed in April 2020 (you can tell it was peak-Covid caution time from their final walkthrough photo) and quickly got to work on adding their own flare to the space. They’ve done so much in that time — updated their kitchen and primary bath, and refreshed the entire space with truly impeccable decor. Their fun use of colors, textures, and patterns is top-notch. They’ve also added a pup, Harley, and precious daughter, Navy. I can’t wait to see what’s next for them.
A few quick questions for Lee & Eileen:
How many homes did you look at before finding yours? 4-6
How did you know this was The One? We always wanted to live on the California Corridor due to the proximity to some of our favorite spots such as Café Marie-Jeanne (RIP) and California Clipper. This place hit the sweet spot! It also had lots of space to designate some really special areas in our home like our dining area and bedroom.
What is the very best feature in your home? Our beautiful front windows make us feel like we live in a tree house in the spring and summer, and a snow globe in the winter.
Which room do you spend the most time in? Living room and kitchen! Truly the coziest.
Go-to restaurant in your neighborhood? We love Hi-Low for an afternoon drink after being up very early with our kiddo! Rootstock is one we wish to make our regular go-to. Their burger is perfection.
Share your fave memory in your home! How much time do you have? All the pre-move-in painting we did, bringing home our Harley girl, hosting friends and family, welcoming our daughter, the late night giggles before bed — just to name a few. 😉
