Paul & Cece

A guest post by Candace Altosino

Cece and Paul first reached out to me last May. Then living in Columbus, Ohio, these newlyweds were looking for a change of scenery and set their sights on the Windy City. I was so excited to show them all Chicago had to offer.

After our initial consultation, it was clear they were looking for a big-city feel: high rise, skyline views, close-to-downtown location. We decided to focus our search in River North and New East Side.

Cece and Paul scheduled their first visit for the end of June. We took full advantage of their time here and jam-packed 15 showings into their two-day visit. Our search continued over the next few months alternating between virtual showings and in-person tours when they came to town.

On a gloomy Monday afternoon in October, I entered what would be their future home with Cece and Paul on FaceTime.

“Oh wow,” I said as I opened the door. “This place is huge!” Even on a cloudy day, there was so much natural light and the views were amazing. I immediately knew this was the one we had been waiting for. Cece and Paul promptly made an offer. The next day, we were under contract.

After a seamless transaction, Cece and Paul are officially Chicago residents and loving life in their new city. I am so glad they decided to make this move and trust me to guide them along the way!

A few quick questions for Paul & Cece:

How many homes did you look at before finding yours? About 20

How did you know this was The One? We fell in love with the view and the location. We love Lakeshore East. It feels like a little hideaway right downtown.

What is the very best feature in your home? All of the natural lighting that comes through.

Which room do you spend the most time in? We love to spend time in our living room either playing board games, or having a glass of wine while watching a movie. The view from the living room at night is stunning!

Go-to restaurant in your neighborhood? We just tried MingHin – Lakeshore East location for the first time. We can’t believe it’s been right there – they have the BEST dim sum

Share your fave memory in your home! Definitely hosting St Paddy’s Day! We had friends from out of town come and had the best time hanging on the balcony with blankets and watching the river be dyed.
