When Rick and Alyssa reached out to me last summer, they were newlyweds — just a month or two into marriage — and ready to find the perfect first home together. We scheduled our consultation, and within a few days, we hit the ground running.
From Lincoln Park to the Gold Coast, we saw homes of all kinds: sleek high-rises, vintage walk-ups, even a few duplexes and townhouses. Their search wasn’t without some hardships, of course. But Rick and Alyssa kept at it, determined to fall for “the one.”
I got a text from Alyssa on a late summer day. A new listing. This was it! She was in love.
This particular condo was located on a quiet, tree-lined block in Lincoln Park. Owned by an interior designer, it was a total dream home. It boasted tall ceilings, bay windows, built-ins, outdoor space, and charm galore. As soon as we finished walking through it, Rick and Alyssa were glowing.
To their delight, the sellers’ accepted their offer, and the rest is history. Rick and Alyssa closed in September 2020. It was a joyous occasion!
This home means more to Rick and Alyssa than they could have ever known on closing day. This past July, they welcomed their daughter, Amelia, into the world. Her nursery is the most adorable space: a crowning light fixture, cane-patterned wallpaper, darling hats above the changing table (so creative!), and chic furniture. Sweet Amelia, your room is a heavenly retreat!
Congratulations to these friends and clients. Thank you for sharing a few photos of your home with me!
