Prepping Your Home for the Photoshoot

Photos are extremely important to successfully marketing your home! We refer to them as the “first showing” – they have a big impact on if the buyer wants to tour your home IRL.

We place a lot of confidence in our design partner, Leah Gronsman! Prior to listing your home, she will do a design consultation at your home & provide you with a report on changes big & small. We recommend following Leah’s suggestions as much as feasibly possible!

Here are a couple other reminders to help make sure you have a successful photoshoot:

Declutter

  • Clear kitchen countertops
  • Take fridge magnets down
  • Clear bathroom countertops
  • Remove shower items

Clean

  • Vacuum & mop floors
  • Dust
  • Ensure closets are tidy
  • Windex mirrors
  • Wipe down bathroom sinks & counters

Accessorize

  • Style shelves & side tables
  • Consider putting out fresh flowers or colorful fruit
  • Fluff pillows

Prepare

  • Open the blinds
  • Make the beds
  • Fluff couch & bed pillows
  • Hide remotes, keys, and other small items
