10 Years in Real Estate
Picture this: Me, sitting at my desk in my first apartment, typing away on a blog post that would be an announcement to my friends & family. I was newly licensed after passing the state real estate exam, coming off of a summer of learning at Coldwell Banker, where I worked as an assistant. Well, I thought to myself as I hit publish. Here I go.
That was the start of something brand new. I called my business “Melanie Stone Chicago” — MSC for short. Once the announcement was out there, I hit the ground running working with renters in the city between evening classes. I was a real estate agent by day, college student by night.
Was that really 10 years ago? It’s hard to believe. You can read the full story of how I got my start here, here, and here.
To celebrate this milestone, I put together a little timeline of the last 10 years:
I am indescribably thankful for those who have helped me get to this point: family, friends, clients, teammates, and mentors. This job can be really — REALLY — hard some days, but I love the ride and look forward to the next decade.
