Ryan & Anastacia

Ryan & Anastacia first reached out in March of last year. They were hunting for their first home with more space for their two pooches, Luna & Nellie. We hit it off immediately & quickly learned how many interests we have in common. I couldn’t wait to work with them to find their first home.

Ryan & Anastacia weren’t quite sure what type of property would be the right fit for them. We knew natural light & outdoor access were important, but it was time to narrow their search. We explored several neighborhoods of the city, kicking off our search with a packed tour day of 10 properties on a cold & rainy day in April.

We visited many beautiful condos, but I could see Ryan & Anastacia’s eyes light up as we entered each single-family home. The additional space & quieter neighborhood streets called to them. Similar to myself, they are also plant lovers, so the backyard & landscaping were a big draw.

As the cold & gray weather gave way to warmer & sunnier days, we stumbled upon the most charming workers cottage in Portage Park. It was perfect! It had excellent bones, three floors of living space, tons of natural light (for indoor plants!), & great outdoor space – a cozy deck & backyard for Luna & Nellie! There was only one hurdle in our way – multiple offers.

After discussing best practices to sweeten our deal, we wrote the winning offer (in typical M&Co fashion ;). Ryan & Anastacia closed at the end of June, which was the perfect time to settle in. As teachers, they spent their summer break settling into their new home & making it their own. It has been a treat to see the projects we spoke about during our showing come to life.

I am so grateful to have represented these two & know they will be happy on McVicker for years to come.
