Sam & Nichole closed on their Bucktown abode a few years back, just before their wedding. This closing was extra-special because Sam is Melanie's younger brother! Melanie can attest to how much heart the couple has put into making their condo feel like home.

I have two little brothers, and Sam is closest in age to me. We are the same in many ways, from our interest in good design (thanks, Mom) to our entrepreneurial spirit (thanks, Dad). When it comes to picking a home to live in, Sam is much more decisive than me. :)
Soon after Sam proposed to Nichole, he started sending me properties. Thoughts? he’d text me. Should we go see it?
Sam and Nichole’s wedding was just around the corner. They needed to find a home quickly — Sam’s lease at his downtown apartment building was about to come up.
Thankfully, the spring market of 2022 was cooling off and inventory began to open up for buyers. In a whirlwind day, Sam and Nichole saw a handful of properties all over the city. When I took them to see a corner condo in Bucktown, the search ended. That was the one. Sam signed the offer, and then Nichole.
Fast forward a few years, and Sam and Nichole have turned their condo into a home. It is one of the most relaxing retreats with sunlight pouring in through the windows, a gracious foyer, spacious bedrooms, and a private balcony.
They recently wrapped up a big project — their bathroom renovation! — and the result is incredible. It’s not cookie-cutter; it’s just cool and luxurious.
I am so proud of my little brother. I love the home he has created with his wife, and I love that I got to play a small role in the process.
